It is said that “Lawn Mower Parents” go ahead of their children and mow down all the obstacles so kids never experience frustration or failure. For example, when your child left his soccer cleats at home and you run home on your lunch hour, pick them up and drop them off at school before practice, you are not allowing him to solve his own child-size problems. When we go out of our way to make our children’s lives more comfortable we may be hurting instead of helping.
